Founded in Portland, Maine by Rob Tod in 1995, Allagash Brewing Company is dedicated to crafting the best Belgian-inspired beers in the world.  We have grown from a one-man operation into one of the Top 50 Craft Breweries in the U.S. (by sales volume) and a spot on Maine’s Best Places to Work list for three years running.  Best known for our flagship beer, Allagash White, we also enjoy aging beer in oak barrels (beginning with the launch of Curieux in 2004) and using wild yeasts (beginning with Interlude in 2005).  As a “yeast-forward” brewery we look to showcase the different flavor profiles we can produce from our yeast strains side by side with the malts and hops.

Oak Pond Brewery is a 14-barrel brewhouse located in Skowhegan, Maine. Family owned and operated since 2003, our products are truly hand-crafted with all brewing, fermenting, conditioning, and bottling done on the premises. Unlike many microbreweries, OPB produces aged lagers as well as ales. All our beers are classic old world styles using only the purist ingredients; two row malted barley, imported and American hops, ale and lager yeast strains, and well water.

We love beer. We believe in paying attention to every detail, no matter how small, to create the best possible beer we can brew. It all starts with Brewmaster Asa Marsh-Sachs and his passion for brewing. He brews with super filtered water, great malts such as floor malted Maris Otter, and hops from all over the world. We don’t shy away from paying a bit more for exactly what we want, like the Mosaic hop in the Lightning Tree IPA. Asa ferments the beer using a variety of different yeast strains to keep each beer tasting unique, and he filters all the ales except the Witbier. Our custom built stainless steel glycol-jacketed brewery helps Asa get the results that he wants. We sell over 95% of our beer by the pint or growler at the brewery and by the pint at Woodman’s.
