April Foraging: Tender Shoots and Sweet Water

This Thursday is our second installment of our year-long Foraging with Respect Series. Join our Naturalist Gudrun for a discussion on fern identification (crucial preparation for our May Fern Foraging workshop), and a walk to harvest young spring shoots cropping up and to taste some birch sap straight from the source.
Teaching about the abundant resources in our forests, marshes, meadows, and streams, and the sustainable approaches to harvesting them is part of our mission to Enjoy, Learn, and Protect.
This program is available on a sliding scale, and a few tuition scholarships are available upon request. Registration is required.
