#1 Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce Ice Fishing Derby – January 20, 2018

#2 East Coast SnoCross – January 27-28, 2018

After a three-year run at Bass Park in Bangor, the tour now moves to Speedway 95 in nearby Hermon. This 1/3-mile paved oval facility hosts weekly short track racing all summer, and will serve as an ideal site for snocross.

#3 Togue Derby with Ricky Craven – January 26-28, 2018

The derby continues as a method to control the togue population and as a great festival weekend in the winter on Moosehead Lake.  Cash prizes for the 3 largest togue are given out each year.

#4 Moosehead Chocolate Festival – February 18, 2018

A Moosehead Lake winter favorite and a tantalizingly delicious event! Choose 10 chocolate samples from more than 40 delectable delights. Your favorites could include petite fours, chocolate lasagna, chocolate bacon, malibu rum balls, King Chocolates fountain… the list goes on! While you’re there bid on trips, Moosehead goodies and fuel!

#5 Wilderness Sled Dog Race – February 3, 2018

The Wilderness Sled Dog Race is known for its remote terrain, beautiful scenery and enthusiastic community support. Focus is placed on the health and well-being of the canine athletes who, with their human partners of course,  travel throughout the northeast and Canada to compete in this highly popular event.

#6 Lincoln Snowhounds SnowCross Races – February 10-11, 2018

With Pro, Amateur & vintage classes, there is something for any snowmobile enthusiast.

#7 Maine Maple Sunday – March 25, 2018

The Maine Maple Producers Association welcomes you to join Maine’s Maple Syrup Producers, statewide, as they celebrate Maine Maple Sunday.   Most sugarhouses offer free maple syrup samples and demonstrations on how pure Maine maple syrup is made. Many farms offer games, activities, treats, sugarbush tours, music, and so much more.

#8 Maine Science Festival – March 15-18, 2018

The Maine Science Festival, launched in 2015, is a four day celebration of the science, engineering, mathematics and technology happening in Maine every day. The MSF brings together Maine’s premier, nationally renowned science organizations for an exploration of science via include forums, hands-on activities, workshops, exhibits, and films. With events for all ages and interests, there is no better place to learn that science is everywhere!
